주제: AI for Precision Nutrition: Challenges, Opportunities, and Future Directions

Lecture Abstract: Precision nutrition requires dietary exposure data with reliability comparable to that of physiological readouts. Yet progress remains constrained by two persistent bottlenecks: inaccuracies in dietary assessment (including recall bias and portion-size misestimation) and pronounced interindividual variability in postprandial responses. These challenges limit the ability to establish robust causal links between diet and disease and weaken clinical relevance. This presentation introduces novel approaches that leverage artificial intelligence and wearable technologies to reduce measurement error while minimizing participant burden. Methods that are ready for immediate application will be presented, alongside exploratory strategies requiring validation in larger and more diverse cohorts. By cross-referencing reported intake with contextual cues and sensor-derived data, and by temporally aligning exposures with outcomes, these approaches aim to narrow the longstanding input output gap and enable more trustworthy individualized inference. In doing so, AI may advance from promise to practice and play a pivotal role in realizing precision nutrition.
